Belt-Drive Electric Bikes

Four models that replace the chain with a belt — three Gates carbon belt builds and one belt-drive single-speed — for buyers selling low maintenance as the headline.

A belt drive removes the three things city riders dislike about chains: oil, rust and the derailleur service schedule. In this catalogue the belt appears on four models, and it is always paired with a simple layout — fixed gear on the two road bikes, single speed on the other two — because a belt cannot work with a conventional derailleur. If your program sells to commuters, fleets or bikeshare-style operators who price maintenance into the product, these are the models to anchor on.

M16 and M16A — Gates belt road bikes

Both run a Gates carbon belt with a fixed gear on a 36V Bafang rear hub and an LG 36V 10Ah battery. The M16 adds a front basket and rear rack for errand use; the M16A integrates its LCD into the stem area (an inset display) and uses a Promax bar. Neither has a throttle. (The M16A's published brake line contains a printing error in the source data, so no brake specification is quoted for it here.)

EC2 — the belt-drive city bike

The EC2 is the most complete belt-drive package in the catalogue: a carbon fiber frame, a Bafang H700 rear hub, an LG 36V 15Ah battery, a Gates 55T belt drive in a single-speed layout, a torque sensor and hydraulic brakes. Its published 50–80 km range is the longest of any city model. It is listed in full on the carbon fiber page.

M13-Belt — hidden battery single-speed

The M13-Belt hides its 36V 7.5Ah battery in the frame and runs a belt with a single speed — the cleanest silhouette in the road family, aimed at style-led urban retail.

Not a belt bike: the M13 (without the -Belt suffix) is a chain-drive model per its specification table, whatever its marketing text suggests. It is covered on the road family page.

Questions Buyers Ask

Can I order samples first?

Yes — under the factory's published sample policy, spare units can be provided for sampling; the sample fee and courier cost are paid by the buyer. Confirm availability for the models you want when you inquire.

How long does production take?

The published lead time is 30–60 days after the advance payment is received, depending on the product category and order quantity. Ask us to confirm the schedule for the exact models in your inquiry.

What maintenance does a belt drive actually save?

No lubrication, no rust and no chain stretch to adjust; belts are also quieter and keep trousers clean. The trade-off is gearing: these models are fixed or single-speed, so they suit flatter cities.

What certificates do the products carry?

Certificates available upon request. Send your target market in the inquiry and we will confirm which documentation can be provided for the models you are sourcing.
