Electric Commuter Bikes: 14 City & Commuter Models
The commuting range in full: 36V 250W European-style city lines, 48V 500W commuter builds and three carbon city bikes — most with racks, lockable forks and 25 km/h published top speeds.
Commuting is a specification game of details: a rack that is actually fitted, a fork that locks out for smooth tarmac, a battery position that keeps the bike balanced when it is lifted onto a train, and gearing matched to stop-start city riding. The 14 models here split into three lines. The 36V 250W rear-hub line (C1, C3, C7, C8, C4 and the mid-drive C3) is built around European city expectations — 700C or 26-inch wheels, rear racks, no throttle on most. The 48V line (C9, C17, C7M, C9M, C8M) adds power and, in the M600 models, mid-drive torque. The carbon line (EC2, EC3, EC3-NEW) sells lightness and belt drive.

Two C3 builds share the name: a rear-hub version and a mid-drive version with a throttle; they are listed separately and should be specified by motor when ordering. The EC3's published charger line does not match its 36V system, so no charger specification is quoted for it here — confirm charging equipment for that model in your inquiry.
Choosing Inside the Family
Buyers building a city range usually start with the city electric bikes page, which isolates the 250W city line (C1/C3/C7/C8). If your riders carry loads or climb, the M600 mid-drive models (C7M, C8M) and the 150 kg-rated C9M are the step up. If low maintenance is the selling point, the EC2's Gates belt drive and single-speed layout remove the chain and derailleur from the service schedule entirely — see belt-drive electric bikes. And if battery removal for indoor charging is the deciding feature, start from removable-battery models.
Questions Buyers Ask
Can I order samples first?
Yes — under the factory's published sample policy, spare units can be provided for sampling; the sample fee and courier cost are paid by the buyer. Confirm availability for the models you want when you inquire.
How long does production take?
The published lead time is 30–60 days after the advance payment is received, depending on the product category and order quantity. Ask us to confirm the schedule for the exact models in your inquiry.
Which commuter models have no throttle?
Per the published data, the C1, C4, EC2 and the rear-hub C3 are throttle-free pedal-assist models; the mid-drive C3 and C3-family variants differ — the full per-model picture is in the throttle guide.
What certificates do the products carry?
Certificates available upon request. Send your target market in the inquiry and we will confirm which documentation can be provided for the models you are sourcing.
